About

This site was created and is maintained by Comenius Foundation, an independent non-profit which seeks to educate and inform about the heritage and teachings of the Moravian Church (Unitas Fratrum).

In 2000, as part of the 300th anniversary of Count Zinzendorf’s birth, Comenius Foundation (working with the Christian History Institute) produced a documentary about the Count, whom historian Dr. George Forrell refers to as “the noble Jesus freak.” The documentary, which has won numerous awards, has been seen by thousands of people around the world since its release in 2001. We are currently undertaking an upscale to high definition video and update to the program, which we hope will be re-released later this year.

This site, which has been a major educational resource about Zinzendorf, has been redesigned and expanded. The new design uses the ubiquitous and reliable WordPress engine, and a customized version of the Astra theme by Brainstorm Force. The design is responsive and is intended to display properly on computers, tablets, and phones alike.
